ABOUT US

Heather Comerate (pronounced "kaw-mer-aw-tee") competed heavily in the sport on the West Coast before moving to Oklahoma in 2001.  She has served as Drill Team Judge at competitions across the country including the Oregon State Meet, Washington State Meet, Cow Palace Challenge Drill Competition, Texas State 4H Drill Finals, and many more.  Heather is also a charter member of the United States Equestrian Drill Association and the Oklahoma Equestrian Drill Association.  She enjoys teaching private and group Drill Team Clinics across the United States.

Being so passionate for this sport, she grew tired of it not receiving any recognition or public notoriety.  As a result, Heather and her husband, David, funded and produced the first ever 12 month wall calendar featuring equestrian drill teams.  They are now working to make the DRILL FEVER! website the place to go for information, products and services related to the sport.

Their first child, Corabella (Cora) May Comerate, rode into this world in January 2005 and they were blessed with Sicily Rose Comerate in September 2007 giving way to a whole new dimension in their lives. One of Cora's first words was "PRETTY!" anytime she saw rhinestones or sequins;

   Yes - it must be hereditary!

Heather is adamant about giving credit to the awesome sport of Equestrian Drill Team and its participants.  It gives thousands of horseman the thrill of a lifetime when the whistle blows and the dirt flies!  It is a passion for thousands, an addiction for many....and a sport that gives riders and horses a chance to dance, dazzle and thrill spectators and performers alike.  If you haven't ridden Equestrian Drill Team yet......saddle up......'cause you're in for the ride of your life!!
